The Farne Islands
The smell of rotting fish, violent attacks from Terns and third degree burns from a day spent in the sun: it can only be a trip to the Farne Islands!
The Farnes probably offer birders the best chance in England for fantastic close views and photo opportunities of seabirds, and in the case of the Arctic Terns, the views are far too close for comfort. Wear a hat!
